Spring into Deloitte Review

It was a 2 day event but it was a really fun and useful experience. I feel like I gained a lot from this programme.

Everyone was very helpful/friendly and made us feel like they really wanted us to do well and come back with Deloitte to do the summer internship next year.

We mainly sat through presentations and participated in business games so we did not receive that much individual feedback but the mock interview at the end of the 2 day event was quite helpful and was a good experience.

Developed strong networking/communication skills through presentations. Interview skills session was also useful and I am sure will help me for any job applications I make in the future.

This was only a 2 day event but it was incredibly well structured. The event was packed full of activities, presentations and networking opportunities.

The general atmosphere was really good. Everyone was helpful and friendly.

Deloitte clearly put a lot of effort into structuring the event and invested a lot of talking about Deloitte's service lines. The mock interview was also very useful.

Although this was only a 2 day insight event so we did not get hands-on experience with real work, members of staff from different service lines told us about the kind of work they do and everyone seemed very passionate about their jobs.

The event really helped me to gain an understanding of the different service lines at Deloitte and the career path I want to take.

We were reimbursed up to £50 in travel expenses

We were always invited to ask questions when employees from different service lines came to give us a talk and there was a networking dinner at the end of the 1st day.

We sat together with many members of staff from different service lines at the networking dinner. This was actually more informal than I expected and it was really easy to talk to everyone.

They explained that they frequently get involved in social activities including drinks, football etc but they did not expand too much into this.

I would definitely recommend this insight to anyone looking into a career in accountancy. We all got fast-tracked to do a summer internship interview and I hope I will be doing an internship with Deloitte next summer!
