  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience in which I learned a lot about Deloitte and the Professional services industry.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?

    • It was only a two day residential event, but the organisers put a lot of effort into the program so that we would enjoy it.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?

    • We received a lot of guidance on how to approach interviews for the summer internship, also members of staff ranging from senior partners to recent graduates were willing to help out with questions and were willing to give out advice.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • The skill sessions on body language by Judy James was particularly useful as it opened my eyes to various things which I had never noticed before.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • It was extremely well structured, the only downside was that it wasn't longer as I had a really great time.

    • All the other candidates on the program were extremely friendly, and the staff were also friendly and willing to help answer questions.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • Spring into Deloitte was only a two day course, so there wasn't really much time to invest in us I suppose.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • They really made it clear as we did case studies of the different departments( Audit, Tax, Corporate finance and Consulting). Also they made us aware of what qualifications we would be studying for once we joined the firm.

    • Everyone I met at Deloitte seemed really nice, and the culture was one of hardwork but they are willing to reward you and invest in you.

    • It completely changed my perception of professional services, and I know intend to pursue a career in this field.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • They reimbursed my travel expenses.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • On the first night we were placed in the Crowne Plaza hotel, and at the hotel we had a networking dinner and throughout the program we had various chances to network.

    • There were various opportunities to network.

    • We were told about sports teams , socials etc.
