  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I was given a large amount of freedom within the company to work on multiple project within different areas. Work was always varied, challenging and extremey rewarding.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Working as part of two teams, based in areas of Marketing I was made to feel very welcome by both teams. All of whom I consider to be good friends and are always there to support me.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I have been given incredible guidence through any issues i encountered throughout my internship. My managers really empathise and respect my feelings.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I have the perfect balance of work. Sometime depending on events or project deadlines workloads would be higher some days and lower others, but I was never bored and there's always more work if i wanted it.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • As an intern Intel treat you as a full employee. I was given a very large amount of responsibility and trust, which helped me feel like I was a worthwhile member of the team.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I learnt something you cannot learn in university and thats business culture. Working in such a large, dynamic tech company I have seen changing strategies and how these have affected business opertions and it really has been interesting. At uni you ostly learn about theroies and I find it rather dull, its when I see these theories applied in a real-time business enviroment that I can fully understand and appreciate them.

  • As with all offices, theyre not the most exciting places ever, but my team and I made it fun.

  • Seamless - it has been a very long running programme.

  • I have done many trainings and personal development courses are readily available.

  • Hire back rates are high, but so is intern intake. I would like to think I have earned a job back but will find out later this year.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Great intern culture, nightlife, events. Always something going on.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Average, everywheres expensive nowadays. Earn enough to go out when we wnt and eat out when we want.

  • Various bars int the old town area, plus a scattering of clubs too, Bushies being the general haunt of the interns.
