  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Thoroughly enjoyed my work placement, each day brought new challenges and it was a friendly working environment.

  • All colleagues were very friendly and welcoming, in all the Prysmian sites.

  • Management were very supportive and if any problems occurred they would happily help all the students.

  • Depending on the current projects, each day was different with the beginning of each month being the busiest.

  • Individual responsibility over many projects.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • During my placement I learned many skills that I would not have otherwise acquired in University, especially communication skills and self confidence.

  • Very, friendly upbeat office atmosphere.

  • Very well set up and a 2 week handover training period with the previous student.

  • The company allowed me to attend a Microsoft Office training days.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There were many social activities between colleagues, and students ate lunch together each day. Very reassuring to have other students to share the experience with.

  • Cost of living was reasonable.

  • Lively.
