    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Work was enjoyable, excellent atmosphere in the office and I felt that Deloitte really supported its employees as much as it reasonably could.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Colleagues were very friendly despite the age gap and I felt that they appreciated the work I did.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Buddy and champion system worked well (even if buddies were a bit variable). Was nice to have a more senior champion who could provide support at a higher level.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Sometimes it was a struggled to find work. This is understandable during quiet periods but when nearly a week goes by where there is almost no work it is frustrating.

    2/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Felt I was given the same responsibility as a graduate, which I was very impressed by. The responsibility increased as my work improved and I got to grips with all the software etc.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I found the ability to work to a strict deadline most useful.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Generally excellent atmosphere

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Overall well organised. Only frustrating incident was at the start- I was told that I had to attend a compulsory training course only about a month before it took place. I had already booked a holiday with friends during this period, which had to be cancelled without a refund and as the training course would have been booked a long time in advance I found this really unacceptable.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • As much personal training and development as the graduates, which I found very impressing.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    Company Parties/Events

    Healthcare from home

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Very appealing largely due to atmosphere.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Generally a very social office.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Worked in London, but this is to be expected.

    1/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Club right next to office.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Some opportunities, such as volunteering.

    4/5
