The Role
overall a very enjoyable experience. there were however periods where I felt i could have had more guidnace or things to do
eveyone was very welcoming and open to questioning or willing to help if asked.
i was given a good deal of support however when things were a little busy quite naturally I was maybe a 2nd priority
I was kept reasonably busy most of the time with plenty of time spent away from the office experiencing feild operations at 1st hand also incorporated in my placement
depending on how well I complete my task it should implement a real change in company procedure in the long run and so the project entails a fair degree of responsibility
I feel the experience gained will be invaluable for my oppertunities of future employability
The Company
the office was very relaxed if a little quiet. overall an atmosphere I felt i could work comfortably in.
Very well organised in general although some problems due to being based geographically some distance away from the Graduate team organising the placement.
A well organised scheme focused on developing employability skills.
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
would definitely consider as a future employer.
The Culture
As I was based away from the bulk of the other students on placement socially there were some shortcomings. organised days helped this however and from accounts of students based closer together the social aspects of their placement were excellent.
reasonably cheap to live.
based in Lancaster - a student town so not much atmosphere during the summer months I was there
A few staff nights and events were available during my time which helped me integrate with the team.
