The Role
Enjoyed the job and found the work interesting, however out of the 50 summer interns I was placed myself in Leeds so missed out on a lot of the social side which the others experienced.
The project I was working on was more individual so I didn't work within a team. However all the information I found and shared with others was valued by them.
Throughout the placement I was left to work myself, organise my time and the tasks I had to do, however support from my manager was there if I needed it.
Some days I had lots of work to get on with which was good. At times I was given long deadlines and felt I didn't have enough work to do.
I was given responsibility to find information from where I thought was appropriate. I was left to develop best practice and share what I had found.
I have found the placement has developed my skills in many areas. Adapting to working in a new environment which I was unfamiliar and I have been given opportunities to develop skills I would otherwise not have been able.
The Company
Everyone in the office was friendly and helpful.
All events by the graduate team were well organised.
The programme helps personal training and development and provides good experience for future. Also gives the opportunity to fast track on to graduate scheme.

Company Parties/Events

The Culture

Cost of living was no different from where I live.
Good nightlife and lots of places to go
One company party was organised while I was here.
