    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • Really learnt a lot throughout the 10 weeks.

    • Felt as though I was given real responsibilties.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?

    • Had weekly meetings with the team to catch up on what we were all doing that week, had 1 to 1 mentoring sessions each week with my line manager and could always ask for advice.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • It varied each day, but the charity challenge and asking my team for odd jobs always made sure I was occupied.

    • I was able to create journals that were put into the system.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I had no knowledge of finance going in and now I have a far better understanding. Lots of soft skills were developed also.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • My team were really friendly and the overall office atmosphere was good. Went to lunch together most days which was very nice.

    • I was given a timeline by my team so I knew when my deadlines were.

    • Was given training by my team and also went on an Insights day to understand more about my personalitly.

    • If you get recommended by your line manager you go throught to an interview - I'm waiting to hear back.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • We got to live together in halls so there was always something going on with the other interns. Went to a pub quiz with my collegues.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • Our accomadation was paid for which was amazing. Going out in London/ Windsor was very expensive but it wasn't too bad we're we lived.

    • Able to go into Uxbridge and also had really good links to London

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?

    • Able to get involved in the chairty challenge work and socials with the team/other interns.
