    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The workload varied highly. The times when I was busy were very exciting. Sometimes the paced slowed a little and I didn't have a great deal of work.

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I personally managed two large projects for the team, which will add great deal of value to the department. These projects gave me large amounts of responsibility. I have also taken over a lot of my managers work whilst he was away on holiday, again giving me even more responsibility.

    4/5

  • Subsidised Canteen

    National Travel

    Company Parties/Events

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • The energy sector is an exciting industry and renewables is a grwoing sector. Centrica would be an appealing option for work in the future. I believe I could develop my skills at Centrica and would be rewarded with responsibility.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There was a good social scene. All interns lived together which provided a good atmosphere and people to socialise with.

    3/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • The location of our accommodation was not ideal. A half an hour walk from Egham and only close to a small village. Without a car it is difficult to get anywhere and if people hadn't had cars travel into work would have been very expensive. There were not many local amenities close to the accomodation, living could prove expensive. For socialing there were a few pubs only.

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Windsor is a quiet small town, but has nice bars and is good for socialising. London isn't far on the train.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • The location of the accommodation made it difficult to get involved with things outside of work. I did play for the Centrica Renewables 5-a-side team.
