The Role
I have found the Savills Summer Scheme very enjoyable and therefore will be applying to their graduate scheme in October this year.
I have found that my colleagues have vauled the work I have done for them and therefore are willing to give me more and more work.
I have been given support whenever I have needed or asked for it in order to fully understand tasks set.
I have been given a variety of work to do and I have been taken on many site visits and meetigs.
I have been given a good amount of responsibility considering my position. It has allowed me to learn a lot and become competant at certain tasks.
The Summer Scheme has allowed me to apply what I have learnt practically and has therefore taught me a lot. I am looking forward to applying what I have learnt to my Masters in Real Estate.
The Company
The office had a good buzz, despite the fact that it was the summer and therefore many people were away on holiday.
The Cambridge office have ensured that I am aware of what I am doing and I have been kept in the loop.
I have not specifically had any personal training but I have been talked through and shown how many of the softward programmes in which they use work and what they use them for.
Company Parties/Events
I am going to apply for the Savills Graduate Scheme in October when it opens in the hope of securing a graduate position.
The Culture
I was the only placement student working in the Cambridge office, however there was a good social scene amongs the colleagues.
The cost of living in the area was as I had expected, I didn't end up spending very much, my main expense was travel to and from work.
I didn't end up going out, however the area I was working in has a good social scene.
If any outside activities arised I was invited to attend, which allowed me to socialise with people outside of Savills and gain an insight into how other companies operate.
