The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement. If I was allowed to do an extra week unpaid work with the firm I would definetly take it up.
I was a bit worried coming into the Corporate department because I always thought everyone in Corporate are ruthless people. I was really suprised to see how friendly the whole department was and it was great talking to nearly everyone in the department asking for work.
When I needed support, my supervisor Michael was always there for me and I highly appreciate that. He has been great and I wish him the best of luck and I hope to see him soon one day.
Honestly the department as a whole hasn't been busy because of the current economic climate. However I actively approached everyone in the department by knocking on their doors and asking for work so I had plenty to do throughout the scheme.
There were a few tasks where I felt I had a huge responsibility. Checking the completion documents for Tamsin to see if any documents were missing was a big task. However as a Summer Intern I was not expecting to be given a huge responsibility but whatever piece of work I had been given, I did to the best of my ability.
I truly believe it will assist me hugely in my pursuit to be a prominent commercial lawyer. I am really grateful to SJ Berwin for giving me a wonderful opportunity and I really do hope I am part of this lovely firm in the future.
The Company
Everyone were getting on with their work as expected. The support was there whenever I needed it.
I believe it has been set up to a high standard. The social events were great and I feel everything ran smoothly. I actually feel part of the firm and I will honestly miss leaving SJ Berwin. Hopefully not for good.
I'm grateful to have been given this opportunity. The morning talks have been great and also the negotiation game was fun.

I loved the firm and I would love to be part of the growing organisation.
The Culture
All the Vacation Scheme students are really friendly and I wish them the best of luck because they have been wonderful.
I don't live too far from SJ Berwin so travel expenses isn't a problem for me.
I have lived in London all my life and I absolutely love it.
London City is the place to be!
