The Role
I was given a good level of responsibility and everyone at the firm was friendly and approachable.
Trainees were often appreciative for the work I did for them.
Varied. Some supervisors were very good at setting out what was required of me whilst others weren't as clear.
Kept busy during the majority of the 2 weeks at the firm.
Given a good level of responsibility considering I had been given no prior training. Given the opportunity to draft documents, conduct legal research and learn practical skills.
I feel like I have learnt a great deal about the legal sector which will be useful for a career in law.
The Company
Members of the firm were very focused on their work whilst also making time for coffee with the vac schemers.
Well organised, though some vac schemers were short of work at times - perhaps a business presentation or other form of assessment could be assigned during the week.
Learnt on the job. The internship was only for 2 weeks so no time for formal training.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Waiting to get the phonecall (hopefully).
The Culture
Good number of socials during the week.
To be expected in London.
Very much expected in London!
Took part in sporting events during the week. Some students were given the opportunity to participate in pro bono schemes.
