    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I had a great two weeks. The days were obviously very long though which was tiring.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everyone was really friendly and keen to get me involved. Senior management probably not so much.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My supervisor was great. He helped me to fit in, I could go to him with any questions and he made sure I had interesting work to do.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was quite busy. There was lots of work for me to get involved it. I had to balance carefully how much work I took on.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • In terms of the work it was not particularly responsible stuff but that it understandable given the size of the firm and the type of clients that they deal with. The best thing was just being involved.

    3/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills of communication, dealing with people, and learning to manage workload are definitely skills that I will carry forward from this.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The particular office I was in was quite quiet although I know that other departments were a lot more cohesive.

    3/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very well organised and informative. My one comment would be that they put a social activity on the end of your first day which is fun but after a whole nervous first day it is a bit much.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Quite expensive!
