Overview
Two-week micro-internship in which I partnered with the University's Sustainability Team. • Analysed current biodiversity policies set in place on campus; • Promoted informal learning opportunities for students, staff, and members of the public in relation to Biodiversity; • Created an A-Z Recycling graphics guide that was shared with students and staff. The work was hybrid and sometimes I would do work at the office (Sustainability Team office) and some days I'd do my research work at my home.
Skills
I developed core transferable skills such as communication, presentation, public and time management to complete all my tasks.
Responsibilities
Yes. I was given the freedom to be in charge of a project (creating the A-Z recycling guide) but was still given the chance to seek help from my micro-intern lead.
Support & Guidance
A lot. Every day I'd have a catch up meeting with my micro-intern lead and ask any questions I had. We'd look at my progress and see what I can do to improve or what to add. Lots of support and guidance.
Culture
It was great. The workplace in general was quiet and fit my personality.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it very much!
