    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • I was a student biomedical scientist in the haematology and biochemistry departments of pathology. I shadowed qualified BMS and performed tasks such as glandular fever screening when I completed competency assessments.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Towards the end of my placement I was given more responsibility however at times I felt I could've been more involved with the team by being assigned to a job role to do daily so I not left doing my portfolio for the whole day.
