Overview
Arrive at office 7:00 Check emails Attend daily briefing Go out to site Do daily tasks (eg setting out, checking control points, digging trial holes...) Lunch Continue days tasks 5:00 go home Some days will be office based work (eg reviewing RAMS, MARS and ITPs)
Skills
Setting out, checking specifications, technical vocabulary, learnt acronyms, discipline, what it is like around the office
Responsibilities
Placing and keeping track of orders Setting out under guidance of qualified engineer
Support & Guidance
Enough, sometimes to learn better you need to do stuff independently, I feel like this balance was good here
Culture
Good atmosphere, helped me see what it was like to be in construction. Let me feel part of the team

I enjoyed all of it apart from waking up early! its a bit of a change compared to university

Go for it, get stuck in. Also, make use of the training available on iSite (company intranet) to expand your knowledge of the industry and business.
