Looked at energy technologies that the company provides, to determine where Centrica should position itself. To assess the viability of a technology, looked at its political, societal, economic and technological factors that influence the attractiveness of a product. After evaluation, suggest actions to the sales & strategy team. Also job role informs sales on market situation.

Definitely. Mostly about effective teamworking, getting along with other people, finishing projects on the deadline, and learned about myself. The skills I learned are technical like using PowerBI or Salesforce, lots of Excel etc. The other skills were soft - like working in a team, with many people on long-term projects, presenting to higher-ups and peers.

A decent amount of responsibility for an intern. If someone wanted to take on more responsibility, they could and if someone felt overwhelmed, they could decrease their load as well. My projects did not have short-term responsibility, but can have a long-term impact on the business.

Lots, everywhere I looked. I was paired up with buddies, managers, groups etc. that all could help me when I had any questions. No questions about lack of support - there was so much support and people to turn to all through the internship.

Comparing this company to the other places I've worked, the culture in Centrica was great. The people here are polite, they care about delivering results (something that I align with), and keep the long-term in mind. I didn't see any powerplays or passive-aggressiveness, but what I did see was general support, welcoming atmosphere, and managers & coworkers who were willing to help out of their free time. Great atmosphere in general

Maximum. It is very well organised, has challenging tasks and pushed me out of my comfort zone. In addition I learned a lot about other interns, which were the best part of the internship. Overall, this is one of the best times I have had in the UK.

Try applying, this is a great place to have your internship. Take it if you're between this and another, I was too. I decided to come here and I am glad I did. Learned so much during the weeks and made amazing friends, which will happen no matter who you are.
