Irwin Mitchell specialises on corporate law and, as a result, employs a significant number of trainees from fields other than law in areas including competition and commercial law. They are a highly cordial company that collaborates heavily across all of the industries they work in, certainly subject to the customary client confidentiality agreements. This offers all of its employees a wonderful working atmosphere.

Many participants gave me the impression that they saw other people as competition, which was good yet competitive. The typically extremely cordial environment that the company takes pleasure in was somewhat at odds with how hostile some people felt as a result of this. However, because there were so many of us, it was like being a small fish in a huge pond, which lessened the significance of each of us individually.
