    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • I was responsible for maintaining the HR Helpdesk which is a shared mailbox where all queries are directed to (interview rescheduling, ca. I was drafting contracts, change letters, leavers letters and disciplinary documents requested by the HR Business Partners. I was also responsible for setting up rooms for onsite training where required and liaised with HR Business Partners on a regular basis to manage vacancies.

  • I believe i was given a lot of responsibility. At first, i thought id get little tasks to do such as filing, getting coffee etc but i was given a lot as mentioned previously which helped me learn a lot during the year!

  • We had a buddy system at Bosch where we could ask our assigned buddy, who had a lot of knowledge, a lot of questions and they were very open to answer.

  • There are a number of opportunities to progress within the company so i'd recommend to make connections whilst you are there, dont be afraid to ask questions and try your hardest. Don't be too hard on yourself when making mistakes as your internship is about learning from those mistakes and developing.
