    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I accepted an offer for a training contract at the Firm and recommend it highly to other students and potential clients. The placement comprised informative sessions with members of the various departments, challenging work and enjoyable social activities with fellow schemers.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everyone is busy in any office and in the end you are only there for 2 weeks but there was a genuine interest in your goals, who you are as a person and making sure you understood the work you were doing.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Both my direct supervisors were always present and accessible. Most of the work came from other members of the team who either had additional work or to whom I had offered help.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • There was always enough work, and when there wasn't I simply asked for more. I was careful not too take on too much to make sure I would properly finish what I had started. In addition, HR organised the right amount of informative seminars and fun activities.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • You were given basic work at first, which is to be expected, but you could always ask for more. There was a genuine interest in allowing you to delve deeper into the work you were allocated or discover related areas.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • It was interesting to see how what I learned at Law School is put into effect in the 'real' world. The most valuable part of the experience, however, was understanding what the Firm offers in terms of training and support during a training contract and long-term career options.

    3/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • These are competent and driven people who like to work in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • We knew what was happening and when and HR was always on hand to answer questions.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They gave you the tools you needed for a 2 week placement.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • 3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Accepted the offer of a training contract.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There were enough activities organised to get to know the other participants.

    5/5
