    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • I was given a list of jobs for me to complete during my internship at the beginning so I would work through them. Then some days I would be asked to complete other tasks and add them to my list of jobs. I would do site-finding, research and due diligence primarily.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • Yes, one of the employees taught me how to use QGIS very early on and by the end of the internship I feel confident using the software to present data on a map. Secondly, I have learnt a lot about the energy industry, for example about the new technologies and how valuations differ from other parts of the property industry. Finally I have learnt some new functions on excel which will be invaluable in an line of work I go into.
