Overview
I shadowed associates on client meetings, took notes and documented the testing of IT controls.
Skills
I have learnt how to gather evidence for audits and document it. I have developed presenting skills as well as networking skills.
Business Insight
There is so much to learn about Deloitte because it is such a large business, but it is really easy to find it out. There are so many people to talk to within different roles which helps to understand the potential roles as well as how the business areas all work together.
Culture
The company culture and general atmosphere are really good. Everyone encountered as been really friendly and welcoming and always has time for summer vacation scheme students to answer questions and help. The IT Audit team is especially lovely and have a good work-life balance. We were included in socials too which was a great way to meet more people.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed the insight, I met so many lovely people and learnt so much about IT Audit.
Yes
Deloitte is really focussed on its values such as integrity so it is sometimes more important that your morals align with theirs, and it doesn't matter if you are not knowledgeable on the topic as they can teach you this.
