Audit Vacation Student Review

I was mainly working with a manager who was part of the team. My day-to-day essentially consisted of helping her with tasks she was working on or updating documents for the current financial year, which essentially helps the team save time and did not require an in-depth knowledge of audit or the client. I also networked with different team members, (sometimes during the stand-up meeting with the team every morning), and got an insight into different parts of the audit. Externally, I had a few client meetings in which I asked questions and interacted with the client.

In terms of hard skills, I definitely improved my excel skills and learnt how to use Deloitte's Engagement Management System. In terms of soft skills, Id say communication and networking skills

Yes, I was responsible of producing a Partner Led Meeting slideshpw which outlines the key info to do with the audit and is presented to the client as aprt of the planning phase of the audit. I also updated project timelines and trackers used by the team of almost 40. Compiled client’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and accounting policies to be followed in line with ISAs Performed a ‘Media Review’ and produced a ‘Review Note Tracker’ which tracked the Lloyds audit team’s review notes on current working papers and their status.

I was given various points of contact and they were proactive in corresponding with me, teaching me new skills, and providing me with support with anything I was unsure about. There was a small miscommunication at the start of my internship which was easily ironed out by the support team.

Good atmosphere, generally positive and friendly environment to work in. Very supportive and had various 1-1 meeting with my manager to see if I needed assistance with tasks.
