SVS Student Review

Personally, I was set EMS tasks such as SARs, PARs and test of details. Combining this with daily stand ups, I was given a real insight into what life is like as a Deloitte Auditor. My colleagues were on had to consistently help with queries.

I have gained a plethora of skills in software such as Excel and EMS. At the beginning of my SVS, I wasn't rather skilled at excel and EMS seemed daunting; in such a short space of time, my skillset has improved vastly. On top of this, my ability to work independently as flourished; at the beginning of my internship i was weary to complete tasks myself, but now i can do so confidently

It was eye opening; I never realised the potential for career progression within Deloitte. There are a plethora of roles within the firm which you can uptake to progress. It is exciting to work for a firm that truly cares about its employees becoming their best self. it has changed my views on my career potential; i am more optimistic than ever.

Amazing. The employees are a representation of the 'taking care of one another' key value. Despite their busy schedule, everyone was so patient and took time to explain concepts and teach me things. Nothing was ever too much for anyone. I didn't once feel like a burden when asking for help.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. It absolutely surpassed my expectations. No only did it give me a well needed sense of routine, it was also extremely educational. I am walking away from my SVS with an abundance of knowledge. I cannot thank everyone enough for their help. It has made me so excited for starting my career, I cannot wait to kick off from where I left.

Don't be shy to show your faults, e.g not having knowledge in area. Lacking knowledge is not a weakness if you are inquisitive and excited to learn. Use than potential to learn as motivation and make it known when applying. They are not expecting perfection, Deloitte just want to see that you're eager to learn.
