  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

    • No. Most of my work was double checked by a grad before being sent off. The work was mostly very low level.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

    • Very friendly and non hierarchal. Directors and interns mingle which helps with finding out if the team / job scope is what you want to go into in the future. Very collaborative and flexible as well including options to work from home twice a week.

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

    • Enjoyed it very much. Exposed me more to the general daily work of civil infrastructure engineer. Made a lot of connections within the industry as well who I will keep in contact with

    • Just be yourself and be socially conscience. Arup prioritises sustainability, so ensure that your social conscience aligns with that as well.
