Overview
Creating and testing IP cores written in SystemVerilog. Verifying each IP core with robust regression tests and documenting it's capabilities.
Skills
I have developed my understanding of SystemVerilog. RTL & FPGAs as a whole.
Responsibilities
I was placed in a unique situation. Working on an individual project where I was the only engineer contributing software and RTL. In that way I was given a surprising amount of responsibility to develop IP cores that met the specification.
Support & Guidance
I was given many points of contact for help and support. Most of the support I received was informal. Asking questions through collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and having impromptu discussions based on those queries. Colleagues were always a great help, never impatient or dismissive.
Culture
Quite relaxed but focused on an outcome. There was never an overbearing pressure to meet any unrealistic deadlines or managers breathing down my neck. The culture and atmosphere of my office was generally very positive.
