  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Answering calls and emails from candidates. Pushing them through the recruitment process eg screening video interviews or booking them onto Assessment Centres etc

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • I was able to develop my excel skills as you have to pull lots of reports to organise candidates. I learnt so much about working in a professional environment - the office has a very positive atmosphere which allowed me to feel comfortable about asking questions and ultimately allowed me to grow massively.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I was given more as the Graduate equivalent of my role left around January and as I had experience with the client I naturally adopted a higher responsibility role. This isn't always the case for CES' and before January, my responsibility was very limited and less enjoyable.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • There was lots of support and guidance. I grew into my role massively and that was down to my manager who was a pleasure to work under. I couldn't have asked for a better team so I would definitely say there was an abundance of support and guidance!

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • It was fabulous - best part of my placement year. The culture at Amberjack from day 1 was extremely positive and made it so enjoyable working with everyone. I have felt extremely welcome since the day I started

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I loved my placement because of the growth I have seen in myself as a person. The job itself can get tedious at times but as I said, I was lucky enough to take on more responsibility which definitely helped me enjoy my job more. I have learnt so much about the working world it truly has been an insightful experience.

  • The volume while you are working can get stressful. But if you are prepared to work hard, you can push through it because it is a job anyone can do if you work hard.
