  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Answering lots of questions from candidates via email and phone call Arranging Assessment Centres and making sure they are full to ensure clients utilise each AC Coaching calls for candidates prior to ACs Screening applications (written but also video interviews)

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • The way I ask for help - rather than aimlessly asking for questions when I don't know something, do a bit of looking to see if I can use my resources to answer it myself. Then, try phrase the questions in a more closed answered way. Also just general work etiquette, ability to work harder for longer lots of very useful life skills.

  • Not lots of responsibility but I still need to hold myself accountable when I make mistakes - so you still get a sense of pressure which I think is really good.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I received lots, everyone is so lovely and approachable I felt really comfortable to ask anyone relevant anything. I really enjoyed it for this reason. The office temperament was great and made it really easy to settle in!

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Company culture and general atmosphere was fantastic. Everyone is approachable and easy to talk to. There is a big emphasis on team bonding with lots of whole company social events that were always fantastic. Specifically, we had a company corporate Go Karting event that was my favourite. Very enjoyable and was a great chance to get to know people I had much less contact with day-to-day

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I absolutely loved it. I couldn't recommend a placement to more Uni students and specifically working at Amberjack. I loved my time there because of the work atmosphere and support I felt I got that I fear will be very different at a lot of other companies.

  • Yes


  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to Amberjack
  • Go in knowing you will need to work hard, like at any job, but especially during peak season (September - March). You will work longer hours but then get this back in leave towards the end which I found was great. But if you are a personable character, humble and just good with people, you will thrive in an environment like that at Amberjack.
