    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I do enjoy it as i feel welcome. However, sometimes i feel like the workload is a bit much and it is hard to complete some tasks when you have to be on call all the time. Also, i feel like the annualized hours make the workday very tiring and less enjoyable working from 8:30-6 takes a really big part of your day and obviously being a student still doesn't really give much time for social life and outside activities after work during the week. I do enjoy that i can work from home most days as if you don't live that local it is quite long to commute which also makes the day less enjoyable. I like how the company takes on a lot of other placement students so there are people my age.

  • Yes

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to Amberjack
  • I would advise to apply if you live local or not too far from the area if you are planning to commute by public transport. However, they are very flexible with working from home which is nice. It is hard work like any other job, but the annualized hours do make the workday a bit long, but you get the time back in summer which is nice.
