  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

    • Competitor Intelligence Analyst using Power BI, Excel and SQL to analyse key data and publish reports on this. I would collect pricing data, sort this and then create charts and graphs in Power BI to visualise this data.

    • I have learnt many new skills. Technical skills I have learnt and developed are in Power BI, Excel, SQL, Dax and PowerPoint. I have significantly developed skills in communication, presenting and collaboration. I have been involved in several different projects that require different attributes.

    • Yes, I was responsible for creating, publishing and updating a key report on competitor information. This was used by many key stakeholders, especially by the pricing team who used the data for their price changes.

    • I received a good amount of support. I have support from my line manager, YII organisers and a designated mentor in the company.

    • Good, everyone I interacted with was very receptive to helping me and supporting me in any way. The culture was inclusive and supportive.

    • I enjoyed my placement to a medium extent. There have been a lot of good times but as a lot of it was online there was some times where I was a bit isolated.
