  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Doing rotations in different Centre of Excellences including Operations, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition and Consultants. Attended regular team meetings and was given research projects to complete.

  • I have developed my networking skills as Wells Fargo gives summer interns a great exposure to senior business leaders from all lines of business. We were given the chance to attend several networking events and meet the CEO of the bank.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Yes I was in charge of three different projects and also given a lot of other value-adding tasks. As long as one is willing to reach out to others, it was easy to find opportunities where one could learn.

  • Support was great. Line manager and buddy had weekly one-to-one catch ups with me. The L&D team was always there to give us professional development sessions and organised networking sessions. Easy to approach co-workers for advice and guidance on tasks I was doing.

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I enjoyed my placement greatly as it broadened my horizons and allowed me to learn more about the banking industry and the complexity of the HR function. I met a lot of nice and welcoming people and enjoyed the inclusive culture.
