    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • I was in the rural estate management team which involves liaising with both private clients and institutional clients, dealing with their residential, commercial and land assets. This on a day by day basis includes dealing with tenants issues and resolving them in a logical and cost effective manner.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • I have learnt how to prioritize my time and efforts when faced with a list of jobs. I have developed my communication skills and feel more confident to speak to clients/ tenants/ colleagues in a relaxed and logical manner. Working in a close-knit team at Savills has allowed me to have honed my team-work skills, learning how best to work together to provide the best service possible.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Yes, from the 1st week i was encouraged to go out on independent site visits and jobs, learning to deal with any issues head on as apposed to being spoon fed. The flat management structure allows for independent working whilst having the opportunity to ask questions when necessary.
