    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • The insight week was a brilliant, I learnt many things during my time with the Rural management team. My day to day included site visits, surveying of land and properties, spreadsheet work, administrate skills, Lease and document creating. Also serval workshops and interactive talks with graduates and employees of Savills that greatly helped with understating the APC, the different pathways, and also in detail about each department in Savills i.e. management of properties or valuation & investment.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have development much more experience with excel and administrate skills. The week also allowed me to develop my client base skills and allowed me to see how the graduates use their knowledge of the industry to their benefit. Also the week was very hands on, you will never be sitting down, there is always something to do in Savills.

    Business Insight

  • 3. What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
  • It was very interesting and helpful information, that gave me confidence that there is many roles you can go into, you are not pushed to one route, it is flexible with the roles you take. I also was pleased about how the company teach each department about each others roles, every department will have a little knowledge about the industry and have had some kind of experience, even if their role is very specific.
