    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • As a project manager I was busy every day. I was often out meeting clients and Savills employees discussing current projects. The day often began by checking my emails and schedule for the day. Preparing for any meetings and finishing any meeting notes from the previous day. I was often meeting new employees in the team ranging from graduates and directors.

  • 3. What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
  • It was extremely valuable to my progression in my career. By working closely with members of different teams and liaising with other students I have a broader and greater understanding of all roles within project and building consultancy department. Culture

  • 4. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The company was extremely social. A positive and welcoming environment was present from reception through to on site client meetings. Whilst remaining a professional environment Savills continued to ensure all members of the team felt welcomed and essential to the team. When I was not working, on my lunch break, my mentor and I went out to get lunch.

  • 8. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savills
  • I was inspired to apply for Savills because of the great opportunities offered throughout the business. Most importantly I would suggest doing plenty of research prior to the application to get the most obscure but relevant answers to the questions asked. Also know to not be too nervous as all employees (that I met) were extremely open and helpful at my time working for Savills.
