    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Yes, especially the longer I was there the more responsibility I gained. Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I received a lot of support during my placement from every member in my team. My colleagues were always happy to answer any questions and my line manager scheduled in 1-2-1s each week and always checked how I was finding the workload. If there was an area I was struggling with the appropriate support was giving to solve it.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The company culture was really good. I worked from home the majority of my placement due to the pandemic so unfortunately most of the company wide events were cancelled. Having said that, the company still did online activities/challenges and quiz nights. There were a wide variety of groups such as Woman in Experian, as well as a mixed friendly football team. In the office there was a games room, including a pool table.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I had a really good experience working for Experian and although I was not a long term employee I was treated as such. My team was incredibly supportive and challenged me in the best way. I feel Experian were good at rewarding good work and they really worked with my timeline in terms of what work I was ready for. Even outside of my team, everyone I spoke to was really nice and happy to offer support.
