Overview
I enjoyed working with a team of 5 individuals to provide solutions for an amateur musical theatre charity. My work included liaising with local schools, colleges, and universities to establish sustainable partnerships as well as presenting the team's solutions to a panel of Capgemini professionals including Corporate Vice President [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions]. Understanding our client's needs and delivering tangible solutions was an amazing experience.
Skills
I learnt how important diversity of thought is within a team. The problem the charity was facing had an interesting solution which was identified by talking to an individual with a different perspective due to their background, experience and environment. Also, learning to work remotely within a team of new people was a great experience and I am still friends with most of the people in my team today!
Business Insight
Even though the aim of the community challenge was not to sell Capgemini, there were many chances to hear from and network with Capgemini employees from various departments and roles.
Culture
Working with the Capgemini team was a pleasure and it's clear Capgmeini's culture is a great fit for me. Their values of honesty, boldness, trust, freedom, team spirit, modesty and fun shone throughout the challenge.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed the virtual experience immensely. I was able to produce tangible deliverables within a five-day horizon.
Yes
Be yourself during the interview process. Don't learn a script word for word when taking the video interview. Try to provide answers that closely align with your own views and I believe if you're the "right" fit, you'll get an offer!
