    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • My role is to look at the reliability of the machines in the factory and make sure they are up to standard. DAY to DAY: Liaising with contractors to carry out work across the site. Looking at data from machinery to analyse any issues and areas of concern. Walking the Factory to look at different issues that have been flagged. Attending and scheduling meetings with relevant people.

  • My communication skills have improved through liaising with suppliers and contractors. I have gained skills in the organization of people skills. My excel skills have been improved through the use of excel in my day-to-day job. My general organization skills have been improved through managing my workload.

  • My placement has been site based and the atmosphere in the office is always lively and welcoming. Everybody works to the PepsiCo ways.

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • The placement so far has given me great insight into the engineering world. I have absolutely loved meeting new people from all walks of the world. I love that PepsiCo have multiple placement students which has allowed me to share my experience with other people of like minds.

  • The interview and assessment centre were all online. I had issues with my interview but they were very quick to respond to my query. always be yourself
