    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It has been a great experience so far. I am learning something new everyday and the company push me to better my self.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • The best part is not being treated like an intern, instead as another employee when trusted with projects.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I am given plenty of support from both my manager and supervisor. We have regular meetings to see where I am at and how I am doing.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • As I provide support, some days can be a bit slow though this gives me time to work on my individual project.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given plenty of responsibility being trusted to carry out projects without any assistance, though it's good to know there is someone always there willing to help.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I believe my skills were developed tremendously. Some of the skills I have learnt will help me in the future as these are some things I would not learn in a classroom. The experience will also help me with my final year dissertation.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Fairly relaxed and fun.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Was very organised from day one.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Initially we had a lot of training to teach us how to use tools and software which I am sure will benefit me in the future. I was also allowed to do external courses and certificates.

    5/5

    5/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I doubt there will be a job back in the same department unfortunately.

    3/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The social club arranged plenty of things to do every week.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Accommodation was fairly reasonable though a night out was not. Though where the company is based does not have many students.

    5/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Not very good. Though with the company of friends it's better.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Plenty, the work and student societies set them all up.
