The Role
I really enjoyed the placement, had the opportunity to learn new things. Worked on various projects that were really interesting, had the opportunity to see how the projects I work on operate in real time in client meetings and on site.
Everyone is super friendly, will to help! Easy to talk to, feel part of the team straight away. No hierarchy so can talk to anyone at any level.
During the my internships my skill set was tested and developed immensely. My attention to detail has improved and this will useful whilst studying law, especially during my dissertation. Building on my excel skills, using applications such as one note, has helped and will continue to help with my organisation.
The Company
Relaxed
It wasn't too structured, but the lack of structure allowed for you to venture out and do things that you were interested in. The lack of structure also provided you with the ability to learn about about the different teams within operations consulting and Arup as a whole.
They hope for you to get the most out of the internship. There's a buddy system, which allows for you to have someone that you can turn to and that will guide you during your time there. Multiple invites to lunch and learns, allows insight into different skills and knowledge about the company.
