    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was fairly enjoyable. The work was interesting and I learned a lot. There was a lack of an undergraduate community however, after the induction days were over.

    3/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • They would often take time out of their days to help me learn and teach me new things. Being young can be isolating in the office

    3/5

  • Reviews with my manager were rare, however they were always there if I needed something.

    3/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Some days I would be incredibly busy and stressed, and others I would have nothing to do. There was not a regular flow of work given to me.

    2/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a lot of responsibility towards the end of my placement, however, it was too much.

    4/5

  • I learned so much about software development in industry

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • It was a windowless room that was very quiet.

    2/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • After the amazing induction, all support ended from the placement department. There should be compulsory catch ups (maybe every week).

    1/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Some colleges helped me tremendously to develop. The company was often slow with IT issues

    3/5

  • 3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
