Spring Intern Review

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Spring Into Deloitte. It was an amazing 2-day experience. There was a wide variety of networking events, business games and case studies. The event was well-organised and all the activities were carefully selected. As it was my first time in such a big company, it was a great time for me.

At Deloitte people are the most important part of the company. Even though I was there for such a short period, I saw how everyone demonstrated a respectful attitude and was always willing to help. There is a unique atmosphere at Deloitte, which I believe, contributes significantly to the success of the company.

The level of support and guidance I received during the programme was outstanding. No one refused to help or was reluctant to provide support. During the business games and case studies we were guided by experienced professionals and consultants who pointed us towards the right direction. Because of that, I managed to expand my knowledge.

I decided to apply for the Spring Into Deloitte programme because I was unsure which in the consulting / financial industry would fit my skills. As the focus of the event in London was on Technology, I gained an invaluable insight into what I desire my future career to be. Now, I am especially interested in Risk Advisory.

The two days of the insight were well-organised. They involved a wide variety of case studies, which required analytical and problem-solving skills. Moreover, food and refreshments were constantly provided. In addition, the programme involved lots of networking events, including a dinner with Deloitte employees. This was an invaluable opportunity to learn more about the company.

I felt valued and respected. The atmosphere was not pressuring, however, we felt that we need to challenge ourselves in order to get the best of the insight. During the insight, I never felt a negative attitude. All colleagues were considerate and willing to provide us with support if needed.

I got the impression that the company invested a good amount of resources for conducting the insight. I, alongside the other participants, had the chance to develop our analytical and presentation skills, which was very beneficial. This would not have been possible if the company had not invested in us.

I would say that the insight was very useful in terms of providing an outlook of what a career at Deloitte involves. Even though we were there for a short period of time, the programme was structured in such a way that allowed us to gain a general understanding of what full-time roles involve.

The insight helped me a lot in terms of understanding the culture at Deloitte. Before going there, I read some information regarding the company's values, but this cannot be compared with the real experience at the company. I can fairly say that the culture at Deloitte is unique, because the people there are the most valuable.

I would say that attending this event may represent a pivotal point regarding my future career. So far, I did not consider extensively career at the Consulting industry, but having attended the Spring Into Deloitte programme, I realised that this may be the place where my skills fit to the fullest.

Travel expenses were reimbursed up to a certain limit. Also, the food and the refreshments throughout the two days was paid by the company. The dinner and all the networking events we attended were covered by Deloitte, including the night at the hotel. We were not paid salary for this insight.

Yes, as I mentioned above, the insight involved a wide range of network activities in formal and informal setting. The one event, which I enjoyed the most was the networking dinner. Deloitte employees were honest with us and provided us with invaluable information regarding their professional life and experiences there.

The networking events and opportunities were numerous, ranging from formal to informal events, including an official dinner and lunches.

Definitely, Deloitte is a multinational company that has a global impact not only in the professional field, but also in terms of the society and the environment. I was frankly impressed by the programme "One million futures", which has changed and continues to change people's lives all over the globe.

I would recommend this insight to all of my friends who are interested in understanding what a role in the industry involves. Moreover, during the insight, I had the chance to make new friends and meet exciting people. To me, the programme was an indeed enjoyable experience and thus I would definitely recommend it.
