Spring Intern Review

Great time at UBS, so many friendly people and an amazing overview of the company. Got engaged with all divisions from tech where we learned to code with python to sales and trading where we managed our own portfolio. An outstanding opportunity to understand the industry and UBS culture.

Always received lots of support from everyone and the insight week team made sure we felt at home at all times starting with perfect communication before the internship to friendly faces on the day. Lots of excellent food and drinks were provided too. Plus whenever we had an open question they followed up with us to make sure it would be answered.

Always someone around to help, assist and advise. Especially during the different workshops there were plenty of employees around the room to help us tackle any challenge and inspire us to try new approaches as well as go beyond the core of the workshop and find out more about what we’re really interested in.

The skills will definitely help you understand the banking industry and excel in any further banking placements you may participate in. As far as university work is concerned it will strengthen your skill to work with people from diverse backgrounds in an effective yet pleasant way and understand how to approach daunting challenges.

Incredibly well structured and organised week. Starting with great networking breakfasts on site so we could meet all other interns no matter where they were staying. All the sessions were perfectly timed and we consistently stayed on schedule. There was even an app available with the schedule and other useful information.

Great atmosphere all week round. Everyone was engaged at all times, the group never ran out of questions and refreshing bites and breaks at all the right times made sure no one got too exhausted. Generally everyone was very eager to join UBS and that showed in the workshops and group works.
