Group Internal Audit Summer Internship

Your Role

You’ll review UBS’s businesses, processes and products to understand how they work and the governance and controls in place to prevent errors or losses and detect when things might have gone wrong. In this way, you’ll be helping to strengthen and safeguard UBS. You’ll be part of a diverse, agile and innovative team with a fascinating view of how a global financial services firm works.

Your Team

Globally, Group Internal Audit (GIA) has over 600 professionals working in 21 offices in 15 locations, with teams covering the Investment Bank, Global Wealth Management, UBS Switzerland, Asset Management and Group Functions, including the Chief Digital Information Office, Group Finance and Group Risk Control. You’ll join a team responsible for audit coverage of specific business division or function.

We are an ideal starting point for a career in UBS with a strong focus on driving career growth. Key areas you may be involved in include financial crime prevention, data management & governance, environmental & social risk and governance and cyber & data protection.

Your Expertise

You need to be in the penultimate or final year of your studies and be on track for a 2.1 (UK grading system) or equivalent in your first undergraduate / bachelor degree.

It doesn’t matter what you’re studying. (Really, it doesn’t.) But we’d like to see evidence that you can: - analyse a problem, take a view and come to a decision - plan, organise and communicate well - make things happen - stick with a task - work in a team - come up with ideas// Perhaps you’ve organised a fundraising event or taken part in team sports? Or persevered and passed an exam in a subject you found challenging? Think about how things you’ve achieved match the skills we’re after.

Your Program

On this 10 week summer program, you’ll be a real part of the team, working with our experts and learning about the industry, our clients, our firm and a specific area of it. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and make contacts. And if you impress us, we might invite you to join our Graduate Talent Program once you’ve graduated
