The Role
I really enjoyed my work placement as it gave me good insights of opportunities and factors that i may go forward with in the future. The environment i was in really helped me to realize what i am actually looking for as a full time job and it helped me get out of my comfort zone and made me gain a lot of social skills
I felt very valued by my colleagues. they gave me a very friendly but still informative welcome. they checked up on me on how i was doing and if i needed help with any of the tasks at hand. they also praised me every time i performed well even if i didn't do it as good as they would have.
At first I felt very supported from my colleague but towards the end they let me go a bit which at the time I thought I was doing something wrong but now I realise that they were just pushing to get out of my comfort zone. This persuaded me to work harder to prove myself to the.
The hours that i was placed in was very busy as it was during mid day so this was actually very overwhelming for me at my first day but because of the enormous support and help from my colleagues they helped me adapt and work well in that environment i was in.
at the beginning the responsibility were very minimum as my colleagues didn't no how i was on how i could perform tasks but as the days went on and as they criticized my work my colleagues soon found out that i am trustworthy and fit to have more responsibilities similar to them.
I've gained a ray of skills that i have developed during the time at the placement really made me step out of my comfort zone and made me bring some qualities that i had never thought i would have achieved while being there. these skills and training will definatly assist me in my degree studies and also in the future whether it be in the world of work or just as like skills in general.
The Company
the general atmosphere i had in my office was actually quite mellow tone due to the fact of my colleagues own tasks but however this very often changed when i needed assistance or when my colleagues were checking up on me. this actually really helped me to adapt to the environment very easily as it wasn't so hectic so i could work at my own pace.
i was very lucky to have the best opportunity and the most helpful colleagues with me but the organisation wasn't the best but the helpfulness of the colleagues made the lack of organisation not a issue at all in fact in my eyes it was a lot better as it was more flexible and fitted to individuals.
they really invested in me to have the best experience as possible. they made sure i was comfortable with the tasks i had to do and if i needed help
Flexi Time
Financial Bonus
i am intrigued with this organisation in the future but personally because of the placement and the insight i had with it i do not think i will be perusing a future with it as i do not particularly appeal to this field of work. therefore i loved the experienced but do not want to necessary do it in the future
The Culture
As far far as i am aware there wasn't as such of a dramatic or influential social scene among any fellow colleagues.
The cost of living and socializing in that area isn't very cost effective as i thought, but however it wasn't that extreme as some areas like central London.
The nightlife was actually relatively calm as there wasn't many clubs as such or very big sociable franchises near by.
Yes there were quite a lot of opportunities i was able to be involved in outside of work, such like restaurants, the gym, and other ranges of eventful facilities. These really helped me to relax from a hectic day and made me clear my head to be refreshed for another day.
