    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I enjoyed my work experience and I felt like it was the best job ever because they made me feel like I was at home. I have never experienced this joyful job so thanks to them. I didn't like the some of the food I had so it was alright at the same time.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt really comfortable as my colleagues made me feel wonderful. Also, it was a pleasure meeting new friends and they were all kind to me. Everyone knows that family comes first and in fact, they're my family as they looked after me like I was in their family. Also, they respected me with kindness.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I was really nervous because I thought that the supervisor will not support me or guide me properly but in fact, they gave as much support as they can. Also, they gave me so much guidance so for an example, they told me where to go as this university was massive.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I got tired of some working times and I still had a lot of time to go through for my working times to finish but luckily my colleagues helped me out. So I'd say it was near the perfect balance and also, they provided me water whenever I was tired.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • At the start, I was pretty nervous so I didn't want to take any responsibility at all but luckily my colleagues helped me out. This made me feel more confident as everyone was friendly and helpful. This made my confidence very high and if your confidence is not good then you might as well come here for work experience!

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I learnt a huge amount of skills and they were all transferable. The most important thing was that my leadership, presentation and lot more skills were getting more better and better so this can assist me in my degree studies and beyond. I was also able to develop my team working skills.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • It was structured really well, the staff was really organised and had a plan which was to make sure we had the best opportunity to learn more and how it has done at Imperial. This definitely put me in a better position about being a student there as I knew what to expect

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Everything was structured well and all the staff was communicating thoroughly to keep everything going well. Also, all the work placement was organised and neat which looked very attractive. I got used to the building in a few weeks so luckily my brain saved me or else I would've been lost. It was quite massive compared to other buildings.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • It was an amazing opportunity to study at a Russell group university which practically is a world-class university. Everyone was relaxed and feeling comfortable because the staff wasn't too strict with the work and they weren't too formal. Those months had exceeded me in my expectations and the best thing is that it was my best work experience ever.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Working from home

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • It was a great job with them as I had a great opportunity to talk to them. Also, it seemed sure that they got used to me and what my role looked like. That must've made it better for them and way easier for them to look at my prospects within the organisation.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • My colleagues were so kind and friendly; the funny thing was that I've never met any colleagues that were like that and I'm still in contact with them. I never can forget a work experience like that because of my colleagues. It was a pleasure in meeting them and thank you to Imperial College London.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Luckily, I didn't have to spend a fortune for transport but I did have to spend a lot of money on some delicious food. There was a room for all the students to have a break in so I had a great time with my colleagues.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • I had a great nightlife with my colleagues and they had a great time at the place as it was neat and organised. I've never actually experienced a nightlife so thanks to this work experince I chose. I saw a lot of reviews on this work experience so I decided to try it out!

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There wasn't that much opportunities to get involved with but there was a library a bit far from the work experience and I read fantastic books there as I'm in love with books. Unfortunately, iI couldn't find anything interesting to get involved into. Also my colleagues had to spend a lot of money on transport to get to this library.
