I enjoyed the vac scheme a lot. It was a really fun two weeks and everyone was friendly and welcoming.
My teams gave me lots of proper work to do as well as detailed feedback. They invited me to meetings, lunches and court runs, and I felt very included.
There was always at least one trainee in sight to ask all your questions to. It was easy to approach supervisors and partners and HR were always an email/phone call/visit away.
The structure was great. The first week gave us the chance to settle into our teams and the second week was full of extra activities and fun sessions. There was a really good balance between work and play and there was never a dull moment.
The other vac schemers were very friendly and so was everyone at the firm. The atmosphere was very relaxed but also dynamic in that lots of exciting work and projects were happening around us.
We had two feedback sessions with our supervisors and one with HR and both times a detailed written form was used. We also had computer training and some presentations to improve our knowledge of the firm. I think personal training and development stuff at RPC is excellent and I felt the sessions were useful for us.
I think I got the full trainee experience which is a big plus. It made me want to be a trainee, as even though it can be tough the work is so rewarding and the people are so nice.
It helped a lot. Seeing first hand all the opportunities for employees, and experiencing the collaborative environment was great.
The scheme confirmed that law is the right career for me. It was very useful having this insight into trainee life.
Yes. We had drinks and activities with trainees and the rest of the firm. The networking lunches were particularly good.
The social activities were great fun and very well chosen!
Yes. There are lots of things to get involved in and the firm has fun activities and clubs.
Yes. It was an amazing two weeks. Can't fault it at all.
