The Role
I did enjoy the placement, everyone was very welcoming and hospitable, the team made an effort to make me feel welcomed and gave me interesting work to do.
I undertook some important tasks and was given some responsibility by my mentor. I was treated as an equal, and I was not asked to make a single cup of tea!
The guidance given my management was very clear, the team that organise the scheme are very helpful and very organised in terms of, organising your first day, expenses, HR etc.. Guidance given by my more immediate supervisors was also good, tasks were explained clearly.
Relatively busy, however I felt that I could have been given more without being over-faced. Many of the tasks I was given were on-going which meant I always had something to do, on many days I was out of the office on site visits which kept me busy.
I felt like I could have been given more, however given the length of placement and importance of clients it is perfectly understandable.
Fantastic skills that will put what I learn during my Msc into context. The placement gave me a great flavour of the realities of the industry.
