The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed every part of my internship year with Siemens Rail Systems. It was without a doubt the best thing I could have done in terms of my own career development and has allowed me to be involved in interesting projects and work and develop skills I didn't realise I had
My colleagues have been supportive the whole way through my placement year and no questions or issue has ever seemed too small. I have been enabled to contribute to important projects and my input and contribution has been recognised and valued meaning I have never been made to feel like 'the intern'
My team felt like a very paternal unit and I have been supported since I started. There has been much focus on my personal development and they really listened to what I wanted to get out of this year.
Always things that can be done as they allow you to take the initiative and follow your own projects and leads.
I was given lots of responsibility
The experience helped me develop new skills and recognise my strengths
The Company
