The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my work placement with Siemens. I was involved in many cross functional projects and developed so many skills.
You are not treated as if you are an intern at Siemens. We are heavily invested in as entry level talent. They have embraced all of my development desires and ensure I built a network within the business
I had complete support during my year. This was extended from people in many functions not just my line manager. There is a focus on wellbeing and work life balance. This is embraced from people at all levels
This isnt a feet under the table and do the same thing each day type of placement. You have new projects that keep you engaged and enthusiastic with potential to shadow other departments
They fully embrace giving you projects to manage and have an onus on ownership culture. Without realising it you develop entrepreneurial skills
I will utilise all skills developed here and dont need to wait until being back at uni to use them. Critical thinking, strategic mindfulness and creativity are my main 3 skills developed
