The Role
I enjoyed this internship very much and happy to have had this opportunity at Siemens.
All colleagues have be very welcoming, my team is great fun. The people working here are friendly and approachable in general and will always be willing to help out. Relaxed culture.
Always given the help whenever I needed it. Trained me how to use all the necessary tools to do my job well.
Workload is fine, with some days are busier than others but it's always manageable. Never expected to stay late to finish work, usually on-going projects.
I had a lot of flexibility and was able to work independently. My managers trusted me to get things done on my own.
What I've learnt here is definitely transferable and useful for my future career.
The Company
There's a great culture here and everyone is given an opportunity to give their views/input.
Took a while to get set up and had issues with laptop at the beginning, but nothing major. I have a very clear job responsibilities.
I was able to go abroad twice for trainings relating to my role, with all expenses paid for by the company.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
International Travel
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Healthcare/Dental
There is currently a headcount freeze in my department. But in such a large organization, there will always be opportunities in other areas.
The Culture
I would say there isn't much socials at my office for interns.
Not bad, cheaper than in the city!
Nightlife barely exists around Frimley area, but not far to travel a bigger town if you do want to go out.
Yes, plenty of volunteering opportunities especialy.
